Ha Ha Tonka State Park - 90 minutes away from Jefferson City
This recreational destination is one of our favorites! It’s a geologic wonder with a natural bridge, sinkholes, caves, and lots of beautiful scenery. Be sure to pack some drinks and snacks so you can hike around all day long and soak in the sunshine. The castle is a must-see!
Caves in Missouri - Various locations
Not many outsiders know that Missouri is filled with caves. With over 6400 to choose from, there are four that offer super awesome cave tours. These caves are Onondaga Cave and Cathedral Cave at Onondaga Cave State Park, Fisher Cave at Meramec State Park, and Ozark Caverns at Lake of the Ozarks State Park. We like to travel the state and see how many caves we can visit over the Summer because these caves are cool and refreshing when it’s hot outside.
Lake Ozark, Missouri - 45 minutes away from Jefferson City
The city of Lake Ozark is surrounded by breathtaking views and a friendly community that would make any American marvel! And the best part? It’s not crowded at all! The full-time resident population is only around 1,800! Oh, and did we mention that you can get there in less than an hour in a car? Yup, it’s that close!
Stonewater Cove Resort & Spa - 3 hours 40 mins from Jefferson City
