A cause bigger than themselves. Ever since humanity discovered cancer, it has been trying tirelessly to find the cure for it every day. Although we are not going to be the brilliant doctors who will discover the cure, we want to be a part of their mission and contribute whatever we can for their cause, regardless of the effort required.
Health above all. Every charity deserves applause, but it’s something else when you hear about an organization that tries to fight a deadly disease without selling your expensive medicine and confusing you with their jargon. A lot of good-willed organizations make the mistake to try to impress people with their knowledge, instead of showing us why they do what they do and how much they actually care.
Brakes for Breasts is the opposite. They are just a small community that has a cause they care about and they are not bound by degrees or credentials. Their belief in themselves and the difference they are making is like a magnet for contributors!
Even small acts of kindness matter. Most people get turned off from charities because of their big demands, but Brakes for Breasts, again, is the polar opposite. They creatively engage their supporters in a way that makes a difference, pairing their need for safety with a small act of charity. We haven’t met an organization that does that as well as them.
