Missouri Safety Inspection

In Missouri, all motor vehicles are required to pass the vehicle safety inspection performed by an authorized Missouri inspection station. The Auto Shop in Jefferson City is an authorized auto repair shop, and we also hold the title of being ASE Blue-Seal certified. A few cars are exempt from the Missouri Safety Inspection, such as any car that is ten years old or less and under 150,000 miles. This means that newer vehicles with low mileage are not required to have a safety inspection. However, if you own a car with more than 150,000 miles or is older than ten years, you will need to pass the Missouri Safety Inspection to renew your license tags.
